About the Random Player Picker

The Random Player Picker chooses one name from a group without asking anyone to volunteer. It is useful when deciding who answers first, completes a challenge, hosts the next round or makes the next choice.

The same page also includes Who Goes First mode. Instead of choosing a single name, that mode shuffles the entire group and creates a complete turn order, making the two tools useful for different moments in the same party.

Two tools, one player list

Pick one player repeatedly or generate a complete order without entering the names again.

What Can You Use It For?

Choose a Challenger

Pick who answers or completes the next party task.

Select a Host

Choose someone to read questions for the next round.

Build Teams

Draw names one at a time for balanced team selection.

Set Turn Order

Generate a complete order before a longer game begins.

How to Use

1. Add Names

Enter at least two players.

2. Choose a Mode

Pick one person or generate a full order.

3. Run the Tool

Each eligible name has the same chance.

4. Repeat

Exclude a winner temporarily if needed.

How Random Selection Works

The tool creates an eligible list from the names currently visible, then uses the browser’s random number generator to choose an index. In full-order mode it shuffles the complete list once. The animation does not change a result after it has been selected.

Privacy

Player names remain only in the current browser session. Closing or refreshing the page clears the list unless the product later adds an explicit save option.
